DMA your statement doesn't make sense and makes a broad brush statement that is absolutely untrue. First, I don't consider myself a "lefty" but many of you here certainly do. I consider myself a progressive. I believe in the spirit of what this country supposedly stands for ie FREEDOM, that we should give everyone who is here citizen or not the ability to be defended in our courts, and that has nothing to do with international goals, but with upholding the greatest part of American Heritage the principle of freedom. Without the ability to be defended in an open court there is no freedom and if you take it away from visitors first, it will be extended to citizens next, and freedom will go the way of Nazi Germany or Stalin's Russia
