Just got out of an investment conference in which our bond managers presented the dark truth to us. While total return this year has been fine, they can't find much to invest in to produce either decent yield or assured quality (outside of treasuries and agencies). Enron has soiled the energy/corp. market and no one betting on lower yields in the mid to long ranger. Really want 3.5% for five years? Let's face it...money is going to move to equities. The only question now is exactly when. A day? A week? A month? What will the catalyst be?
