Yup, by the time Pal Hal got his hands on the whole thing it had turned to evil. I don't think the workers were ripped off, I believe they were told in advance they would be paid in part with MLG stock and those who held it did very well. It wasn't until Ballard had total control that it fell and that was after 67.

I know those sticks would probably be worth a mint now and the rest of the story is that I have two brothers close in age and I think we each got one. That would be 12 sticks lost to road hockey signed by Stanely Cup Champs. The value of my memories of playing with the guy who gave them to us is greater however.

You'll probably know but did the little M win 2 cups with the Habs? First time I walked into a Brewers underage the two of us ordered enough cases to fill my Beetle. Both being well over 6'2 and 200lbs the guy didn't even blink.
