You're right it's the cut backs that are really helping now, but the demand from Asia especially China and don't forget India and the rebuild of Afghanistan, will really produce the increase in demand. I think too that most consumers in North America and Europe have really destocked their inventories which has produced the less demand here. With interest rates where they are capital projects will be started and built around the country. You will also have the long term effets of people moving out from the big cities to small towns. New houses, renovations, and new cars with electric motors like the Prius will add to copper demand.
