Orkrious:
I think so - but Comcast hasn't been very forthcoming on what is really going to happen. Recorded message hasn't changed in days (weeks?). The email I received - you probably got the same one - suggests setting up dial-up with NetZero (!!!!). Local paper (Nashville) had an interview with Comcast guy who said there were too many different scenarios to discuss. Unbelievable.

Well, I just got off the ph with Bellsouth for the 7th time since yesterday when my dsl connection went out. Now they are sending a technician out on Tues. Looks like I'll be hacking on the 56k modem for awhile... With all the reportedly overbuild and overcapacity of fiber and such why can't we still get a dependable high speed connection. I don't know of any more options in my area.

Maybe there really isn't that much demand for high speed access at home, especially when many people can access high speed at work locations. As a daytrader/swingtrader it's a must.
