But in these tough times, fine words butter no parsnips and now Fujitsu's Gresham plant in Oregon will close, with the loss of nearly 400 jobs after AMD failed to step in and save the fab. This is something of a puzzle to the INQUIRER because back in August we ran a story based on an Oregonian report, that AMD would take a half stake in Gresham.
