-Z,

I think that the thread should start over with a clean slate and a moderator that has the time to read every post, and all should be invited back. The thread has been an excellent forum for technical and financial discourse having to do with not only AMD, but the semiconductor, PC, and other high-tech markets. It still is, but could be better.

I'd personally just as soon stay here. What I bolded of your post is all present here, isn't it? And, I don't think very many people really like moderated threads. If some can't take the more "colorful" posters, there is ignore. Hey, we've been over this ground several times already, you know.

Tony

Zofsilence, Re: "The problem is that there were other people, including you and TPGTNDR (I think I got that right) who deliberately tried to provoke him at times, and other people who've been particularly nasty who deserved to be suspended as well."

It's nice to see that even the casual observer / lurker can see the truth of what happened there. It's likely that the people here and the people there will never agree with who was at fault, or whether the outcome was justified. Personally, I think the argument should have stopped after the Intel crowd left the mod thread, but some people can't seem to let it go. You'll not be hearing much more from me. I won't step foot in the mod thread again, no matter what they say about the quality, and I have no desire to rehash attention on the issue. If some of the AMD investors want to come over here and post news about AMD, all are welcome (the more the merrier). The only thing I can't stand is when AMDroids come over to provoke the rest of us. They should stay and live in the mess that they made.

Hey, I have a great idea, why don't you, zofsilence, take over the job of Moderation of the AMD Moderated Thread, its obvious that Mani is too busy with other things. I would vote for you, just tell me where, ......we could have an election on this very thread. How 'bout it???? All those in favor raise your hand(s).

-Z, I would never provoke anyone, I just respond to the invective of others. I never initiate gratuitous attacks.

I had no objection to anyone. Each time paul was booted he would come back meekly, then when the moderator did not do his job he soon went back to his evil ways.

As we speak is it better for tech stuff than before. Remember Paul never ever brought tech stuff, just attacks. Now we have a far higher quality of post.
Those that left and came here were mainly co-attackers with little interest in adding to the tech level, they just wanted to take pokes at AMD along with paul.

the Intel thread is fine for Intel and AMD is fine for AMD. Notice I am not attacking anyone or even Intel, that is how it should be.
