engineer,

<< propagate whatever BS you want, I know what the 5 principles were. Put Qualcomms IPR into a patent pool and allow everyone access to it, thus nullifying al the past license agreements and making qualcomm agree that they would accept less than the current GSM royalty rates. >>

Are you saying that the 5 principles were not in fact principles at all ... that they were just a subterfuge ... and that Qualcomm really didn't care about a single converged QCDMA standard or 1. A single chip rate of 3.6864 mcps; 2. ANSI-41 accommodation without 'interworking', and authentication with or WITHOUT physical SIM, 3. Synchronous base station transmission as OPPOSED to Synchronous (rather than in addition to); 4. SVRC codec not AMR; 5. Reverse link waveform characteristics ...

... that all Qualcomm was concerned with was receiving licensing and royalty revenue for Qualcomm essential IP?

<< Don;t try your pathetic bullshit routine wiht me. It just doesn;t work. >>

I'd like to make a suggestion to you.

To insure that there is absolutely NO pbs here, only enlightened opinion, why don't YOU go back and respond to post 16979 by propitious, originally directed to me.

You can give him your point of view about what the likelihood of Vodafone adopting cdma2000 was back in 1999, what caused them to choose the course of action they did, and what chances there are that they will alter or supplement that course of action in the near, medium, or long term.

I am sure he would be interested in your point of view. I certainly would be.

Best,

- Eric -
