Given the historical silver/gold ratio and that of today.....

I would weight 60/40 to silver. I think it has more upside potential in percentage terms if the ratios return to "normal" (Is anything about today normal?).

Just my opinion.

Is the volume of secure storage space an issue?

Is a large single bullion bar acceptable? Premiums are extreme for small amounts(less than 1000oz) of silver.
