I'm sorry. Even my political beliefs were offended by that last post. It's not often that I display such overt communist beliefs. I also should point out that I'm not very consistent as I did not support the action against Microsoft. I just hate the idea of either AT&T or the cable companies getting the chance to take even more control. I'm not against them having their share of the pie but I am against serving it to them on a silver platter.

Signed,

Leonid <g>

Yes, but there is no asset without customers. You left in anticipation. What of us 4 million who by dictate of the court may have no service.

People like you have already left. The asset is declining in value. I have seen this before, I am aware of prior examples. I know of one case so closely I cannot discuss it.

Picture this. You have 4 million customers and you have to sell the business. Your company is bankrupt. You are offered 307 million but your creditors oppose the offer. Your competitors point out to your clients that you not a viable provider and they should consider doing business with them and not you.

Your salespeople are enticed away.

Your business is becoming less valuable every day. Now the coup de grace. The court closes you down and your clients must go elsewhere. That 307 is looking good now, because you have no client base to sell. After you, me, HG and every other user walks away this network isn't worth 3 dollars and 7 cents. The creditors are probably the ones keeping the network up right at this moment.

ATT & the cable companies are trying to steal an asset.

Without clients, there is no asset. If this network shuts down by court order, the 4 million people go elsewhere. ATHM then becomes truly worthless.
