Are you aware of any other Enron related entities with similar ring fences?

I'm consistently surprised by how far and wide Enron operations extended. I didn't follow the company prior to the past few weeks, so I suppose thats to be expected.

I fail to see how "ring fencing" can protect one from the 90 day preferential transfer rules in bankruptcy. No matter how many layers it descends to, transfers, however made, are subject to recapture in bankruptcy if within the preference period and/or are associated with fraud or other wrongdoing. The trustee will control.
