If that's the case, then I can understand your situation. AMD may have a compelling design right now, but I see that changing in the months to come. Starting next year, Intel will have the dual DDR chipset called Plumas (or E7500) that will provide the best platform for Prestonia, the Hyperthreaded Xeon version of Northwood. Along with these enhancements, I think the Xeon will gain a lot of performance, and you may want to consider re-evaluating your options at that time.
