Bay Area service...

Just FYI, in case anyone is looking for an immediate solution to the problem of lack of service.

Someone sent me an email about services being offered for @Home customers who have lost their Internet service. A free dial in account is being offered immediately for those who sign up for residential DSL service. This is a local ISP, with dial in numbers to the 510, 415, 925, 707, 408 and 650 area codes.

"As you may be aware, AT&T @Home high speed cable modem customers have recently had their service turned off as part of the Excite@Home bankruptcy. These cable customers have no Internet access and cannot access their e-mail.

In order to assist those customers who have been stranded without Internet access, Silicon Connections is offering a special promotion. If you know of any of your friends or family that are in this situation and are looking for Internet access, Silicon Connections will provide them with a free dialup Internet access account when they sign up for our DSL high speed Internet service. This will allow them to obtain Internet access and e-mail immediately while their new DSL service is being installed. This will let them get back up and running today!

Here's how it works:

Contact your friends and family that need Internet access and have them contact us at (888) 857-7012, Option #1. If you have any questions about our services, please visit www.silcon.com or contact us at 888-857-7012.

Thank you,
The Silicon Connections Staff"
