I knew one of the directors of MediaOne. ATT did not handle that acquisition well. After they took it over, Armstrong asked them how to manage the debt load and then ignored what they told him. It's a little complicated but they walked out wondering about that guy.

For example one of the ways that he decided to handle the debt load was to take one of the best assets and sell it. Sort of like I need a car to get to work but it's the most valuable thing I have so I'll sell it.

We are still up here. Auggie Gloop had that outage that you had, it appears. I'm not on automatic bill-pay, by the way. I never believed in that stuff. I still walk down to the utility company and pay them out of my change purse.

Seriously though, the only things I pay for on automatic bill pay are data feeds. I don't know why, I never felt comfortable with it. Even then, it's on a credit card so I suppose if I did not get the service I could go to the CC company and try to renege because of failure to fulfill the contract.
