Nothing i have said in any way validates the propaganda of your oligarchs, Hawk, no, and it is clear evidence of the poverty of your arguments that you would state such an untruth

For your general information - we have in this province, ¡surprise!, internal debates, struggles, divisions ... it is my impression that we are not completely alone on the globe in this regard, however ours feel to us quite polarised, arguably more so than in some other places, and less so than in some others, and roughly divided along not two but multiple lines of political thought, evolving devolving revolving all the while for a long long time now

This all has got sweet phuque all to do with the USA until the USA attacks us. Don't flatter yourself amigo, there are other things going on in the world besides the stomping of your jackboots

Not so long ago, in the hot lumber market of the mid-90s, i have seen stumpage so fantastically high that companies on this coast could not harvest within the pricing period, could not fill orders, they had empty log yards and were paying the earth for any outside wood they could buy, with mills half shut down for lack of wood ... this came about due to a number of factors imposed during the reign of the socialists, including a thing called the Forest Practices Code which you needed a wheelbarrow just to carry around, and a general attack on forestry as appeasement to irrational greenie elements .... i profited from this, as i was able to sell my private wood into really healthy bids, nay i could stay insanely high on the offer and they would take it, whiz-bang

This too had s.p.a. to do with your oligarchs or their regime ... it had to do with a thriving continental housing market along with a positively hot japanese housing market, combined with a little speculation in the pulp market by chinese elements [it is said], laid on top of a mild log shortage caused largely by our socialists who ruled at the time .... so again, do not flatter yourself, the world does not revolve entirely around your pointed little eastcoast yanqui heads

I find it amusing that you evade the response i made to you - #reply-16733126 - and then pick out from another one point around which to build a fiction, while completely ignoring in the post to which you are responding this core paragraph which so appropriately addresses your 'point' -

' Doesn't matter anyway - you are making the mistake of thinking that what the mafiosos say they want is what they want - they mouth the words they do because that is all they think the public will swallow ... that and playing with the numbers in ways they know the man on the street will tend not to check '

Challenge for ya - define the term 'stumpage' ... later i'll ask about the words 'trade', 'sovereignty', 'freedom', etc, but in a comprehensive study of the uses of the first on this continent the light will go on inside your head, then you will be faced with the quandary of whether or not your rigid jingoism will permit you to shine that light outwards

'nothing more than a neighborhood spat between friends' ... well, um, amigo - it doesn't feel all that friendly from this end of the bayonet ... and the word is neighbourhood, btw ... yes the peoples of these two nations are friends, long time now, long time to come, but the machinery of US federal departments is working in the opposite direction, best to curb your dogs

... later, i'm being paged to go dancing next door ... hey this is foreign affairs, i thought you didn't like this one? ... well we'll sort it out later, cháu

[edit] - this just in - #reply-16733375 - you see, it's not just about you at all, the federal capital to which you kneel is not the only one on this continent with which we have problems
