Took me a day to work out problems as my @home got replaced by @attbi.com

Working fine now... good luck getting through tech support (an hour on hold for me), Ken

My Excite@Home cable internet service went dark on Friday.

I guess I'm whistling past the graveyard myself...

I thought surely my @home account would disconnect on Friday as well. But I guess Comcast must have been able to make some kind of deal...

Either that, or somehow I've slipped through the cracks for the time being.

This is one of those situations where AT&T and Commiecast are primarily responsible for the demise of @home. They capture far more of the income stream than they should have, and prevented @home from being a viable entity.

And now they want to come in an buy up the assets on the cheap for themselves and inconvenience the lives of 4 million subscribers who have come to associate their internet service with THEM, and not @home.

Because guess who I'm going to blame if my service is disrupted? It ain't going to be @home. Especially when the only "backup plan" is through Netzero/Juno, who DON'T have software that works with Win2K.

Btw, should I "blink" out for a couple of days, you'll know what happened to me... :0)
