<< I wonder why Allah left these two most important Arabic words out, in this otherwise perfect Surah. All of this misunderstanding over two missing words!!! >>

Those two words weren't "left out" per se. Reading that Surah in its entirety and not just reading that specific passage makes it fairly obvious that the Surah is addressing conduct when in ongoing warfare. Also, because no single Surah exists in isolation from the rest of the Surahs in the Quran, teachings from others Surahs should be used to put things into context.

chuckj,

That's funny, I think! Just pencil in two words into God supposed, perfect word! If God didn't want them in there, why would we assume now he needs them in there! We would have to assume God wanted people to easily get the context of the verses wrong, right?

You know what Islam says about this:

From the Qu'ran:
[al-An`am 6:115.17] Perfected is the Word of thy Lord in truth and justice. There is naught that can change His words. He is the Hearer, the Knower.

And you know what the Hadith says if Muslims think you are changing your Islamic religion:

From the Hadith:
Sahih Bukhari
Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57:
'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.

The second verse might mean converting your religion outwardly. But if start proposing chages in the Qu'ran, even just two words, you might be considered someone trying to change the religion.

Adding two words is not an option!

God Bless,
IGIT
