I agree with the points in your post. There is no killer app now. There will be in the future, maybe speech recognition very soon, but the market is now mature. However, there has been no killer app in the last 12 months and some PCs have still been bought. In the 12 months ahead, Intel will do better due to less competition with AMD. They won't do as well as they did in 99.
