perhaps a top. perhaps a lower top. perhaps a minor low, or perhaps a little later. there seems to be a pattern of recent lows around the third week before close of quarter. japanese banks and tech firms closing venture capital investments at end of quarter. think japan has a five-day settlement on trades.

Luc: Re: "everybody i know is looking for a high on the 14th." Yep, there is a lot of consensus in a mid December high. Many looking for that extra push before even laying out one short. Is this a valid technical opinion or merely a lack of conviction in that some bears want/need to short "the" high that is always yet to come because the strength of the bear market rally seems to have no end? I am not answering that one except to say that I guess a bell must ring at the top. Whatever.
