I can get DSL speeds at 640mps. From what I understand that is always 640mps. The cable can go up to speeds of 1 mil mps, but rarely does. When I first started cable 2 1/2 years ago, I was # 3 on my node. Now there are nearly 300 on the node. Sometimes it's slow. Then there is the security of DSL over cable.
Never actually used DSL, so only going on hearsay.

PS It seems like the "new" cable service is faster, but the e-mail is much slower this morning.
