Part of the reason is that Walter has been told by all involved what their opinions are, previously.

Part of the reason is that Walter's attorneys have told Walter that ANY dialogue with other board members may be construed as "Board Action" thereby triggering the 675MM penalty clause,

And Part of the reason is that the "Consultants" already knew that they were going to advise AGAINST the merger. After all, that's why Walter hired them in the first place.

This whole Hewlett/Packard story is going to make one hellava case study on how Major Corporations decay after the key founders no longer control the company.

Maybe next year we can have the Stockholder's meeting at the Bohemian Grove.
