Correction: AA will pay big time. Period.

As a CPA, the first lesson in your undergraduate Auditing class is, "The CPAs ALWAYS get sued".

That said, if there was the possibility of a "going concern" issue, it should have caused a qualified opinion.

The CPA profession (of which I was once a practicing member) has totally caved, in my view. At one time, people respected the independence and position of responsibility of the CPA firm. Now, clean audit opinions are sold to the highest bidder. Sickening. But I'm proud to say I got out before it REALLY got bad.
