No idea, although wall street and Greenspan are both very sharp obviously and I would think if the counterparty risk was humongous there would be strings being pulled by now. OTOH, who knows, '98 appeared ugly pre-LTCM and the market has been strong, so maybe they'll just let this one unravel even if it is huge. Time will tell.

btw, the 'netting' agreement law passed congress... so which ever part of ENE's stuff is 'hedged' supposedly would be OK... so they say.
