It seems like only a month ago I wrote that I thought Rumsfeld would dump gas in the Afganistan mountains and I was told he would never be that barbaric. Apparently nothing is too far out for Rumsfeld. washingtonpost.com (see half-way down) Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, speaking on NBC's "Meet the Press," refused to rule out using gas to force Taliban and al Qaeda fighters out of their mountain redoubts. "I guess one will do whatever is necessary to do," he said. "If people will not surrender, then they've made their choice." TP
