Amein, I think there are two groups of people who misunderstand 'Islam - the Message'. One group (ie.most Americans) cannot understand why a peaceful religion would endorse such horrific acts of violence and the other group (ie.Taliban) thinks that Islam advocates violence as a means to an end. It is clear you are addressing the first group here on this thread. But, what is being done about the second group? - the ones I'm most concerned about. I have asked you before whether or not you agree with the Sept.11 attacks and thank God/Allah, you do not. However, do you agree that the 'education' of these extremists lie in the hands of Muslims. I cannot envision any other religious groups attempting to set the Islamic extremists straight on the teachings of the Qu'ran with any level of success. They may not even survive. Can you point us to efforts that the Global Moderate Islamic Community is trying to achieve this? I would sleep better knowing that there is a zookeeper somewhere and the animals are not all out of the cage. hkl
