That was your concern about Ottawa's taxes, unc, you brought it up, i merely suggested how you might more appropriately re-direct it ... fear not, as a still-free colonial boy i know full well where to direct my own, and i do so ... funny thing here is that by linking the two concepts you demonstrate again your ignorance of the two very separate levels of government responsible for them .... one day i'll type in a piece regarding essays on elephants, a canehjun joke, quite instructive on our system, not now, no time to reconstruct it from distant memory

Your deflection into personalities, the impugning of motive etc, this won't work either - actually i'd probably be better off to watch my neighbours get wiped out and then play vulture on their real estate ... just don't have the stomach for that sort of thing though ... which would mean i wouldn't do so well in your military-industrial complex, maybe eh

I believe it is useful for you to hear how heavy-handed arbitrary actions by arms of your federal government are received by the victims of those actions .... whether you like it or not, it is information, feedback, you may choose to learn from it, or choose to close your mind and wave your flag and nuke the gooks for the Gipper, your call ... should you choose the latter, i should rather think it was you who had 'lost a battle', not i

Moving on ... [but not far] ... server error yesterday out of SI so i'm way behind, but i did catch a piece on two armed israelis getting caught with explosives in the Cámara in el DF ... here's another on that - #reply-16741632 ... there are more, search full-text with 'mossad' or i suppose 'cámara' or 'lázaro'

Hard to say what is the full story of what happened here, but the story does seem to have been firmly hushed up in the mexicana press, i've just spent half an hour looking everywhere and can see no mention of it, while it is said to have been a prominent story, and understandably so, immediately following its occurrence ..... however, if true as surmised according to appearances, it is quite easy to understand the motive for Mossad agentes provocateures in México -

The mexicano views his massively powerful neighbour to the north through the context of all that has come to him from that direction - from the first significant contact of its occupation of half his country, through the extensive seizures of his land for US interests during the Porfiriato, on through the first admission of the surviving conquered chicano to US society provided by the post-WWII GI bill, now into watching close to see what Bush hijo's 'Juntos podemos' is designed to mean in reality

It all goes together, all of it, the good the bad the ugly the evil, all part of the picture ... think of the mexicano as yet another mirror in which you may see yourself, how you may compare your 'US ideals' with US reality

11 Sept happens, mexicanos die along with canadians and thousands from eighty countries ... the mexicano is as shocked and disgusted as any other civilised person on the planet ..... then a few days later Bush II says 'you're with us or you're against us'

Well that is scarey talk to the mexicano, he has no long list of events in which the US was with him ... result - only a tiny percentage accepted the 'with us' category, the rest said wait a minute, we shall write you no blank cheque in our name, in light of historic experience we simply do not trust you without reservation, it is unreasonable to force us into either category, we shall defend our own country and our military shall not leave our borders, as is written in law for good reason, and we shall continue to support the right of peoples to self-determination, as is also written in law for good reason ... no señor, revise your categories and clarify their specifics, and we'll think about it

Didn't get far, did we ... precisely the same phenomenon - you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar, but either way action will beget reaction
