Actually they did look like a lot of fun...

But quite honestly, I don't see the market for them yet as "people movers" (at least in the current configuration)....I do see commercial applications and limited usage by individuals (mostly as a recreation).

One thing I think is worth pointing out....

Americans are fat enough as it is. The last thing we need is a mechanism to eliminate walking on a routine basis.

Is anyone else a bit damned angry about Ginger - IT - Segway? $3000 for measly 17MPH with a crummy 15 mile range and that only after a 6 hr. recharge! The hype told us this would replace our cars - HA! As if anyone would ride it miles on end in a below freezing temperature. Would it always last hours - Every battery has less storage below freezing(and above 100degrees)!

How is this going to save or change the world as we know it?
