True about "historical eras". I thought that the 21st century may have started with the 2000 election, which is certainly a landmark for many political and historical reasons, but 9-11 has truly changed the nation, and so the stone gets carved by the road right there. I doubt that a presidency will ever again be decided by the elderly whining for free prescription drugs from an oppressed 'X' and 'Y' generation, trying to make ends meet under the gun of deflation and third-world conflict...
