I can read koine Greek somewhat, yes.(Haven't done it for awhile, though). Even if what you say about the New Testament were true, and I am not denying it, all it would mean would be that no one knows the actual Jesus. The only objective standard we have is the Jesus presented by the Church. If we do not credit that Jesus as being true, then we have.....nothing. We can pick and choose what we want from the Gospels, of course, but why? Because Jesus was a neat guy, who said wise things? A Christian believes that Jesus was a singular manifestation of God, at a minimum. What kind of manifestation is it when we can pretty much invent our own depending upon which Dominical sayings we find congenial: "Forgive your brother seventy times seven" passes, but "I came not to bring peace, but the sword" fails?

If you are able to read the Bible in the original languages then you will no doubt attest to the fidelity that English translations of the bible have to the original documents.

If having an interest in a matter disqualifies you from testifying about a matter then no one should believe any lawyer because he is paid, and no one should be allowed to give any evidence unless they are completely neutral, which would disqualify everyone. So should we give up on the judicial system?

The Bible is an accurate historical document that cannot be so easily dismissed. The fact that you don't like the contents, does not mean it's not true.

I'm up to my eyeballs in mud right now so It might be awhile before I can respond, but have a good day Chris.
