The number of shorts plus the number of folks who are waiting with cash for a buying opportunity will give a major blastoff at some point. I've heard 6 trillion on the sidelines so I have a hard time believing we'll get buying opportunities as attractive as those at the end of September.

The jan qqq 43 call is only 1 buck with all the put buying there. I may try some.
