dear j-f- there are gases that can kill painlessly and a gas that would kill painlessly I do not consider barbaric. But in fact for any in a cave who do not acknowledge they are there and may have left vicious animals behind, I would fumigate with lethal whatever to make certain any person attempting to make certain the place is save would not even suffer a hangnail from any dangerous animals within.

Fumigating a cave is rodent reduction and the Geneva Convention is about war and humans.

Rodents in a cave are not villager living in their home. I doubt you have the ability to understand the difference.
