I think we had our fill of indiscriminate slaughter on 9/11. And yet it continues elsewhere, as in Jerusalem over the weekend. I heard some people (in real life, not on SI), trying to draw a distinction, saying that Israeli aggression meant essentially that they had it coming, or should at least lie there and take it.

I disagree with that notion. We may have had our fill of indiscriminate slaughter, but we are still in great shortage of justice. I wish President Bush would take the opportunity of the next terrorist attacks on any civilian population, where that population is targeted, by suicide bomb or otherwise, and just say to whoever leads the victim's country.....our military stands ready to help you eradicate whoever did this.

The Phillipine government may soon need our help dealing with their Islamic fundamentalists. The Israelis could use a bit more support, at least rhetorical support, for their efforts to deal with these vermin. And while I don't believe that nuclear weapons are the answer, I have no problem whatsoever with gassing these thugs out of their caves.
