Er... so you are saying when we launch an interceptor 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE "ENEMY" MISSILE IS LAUNCHED (whew!), and there are no decoys, and we know the planned track of the incoming... that we can have reasonable hopes that we are protected?

Yawn!

So hold the applause and get back to me in a decade or so when we have successfully demonstrated a REALISTIC field test (including decoy discrimination).

(Glad they finally hit something they were aiming at though... too bad they had to delay the test because of rain).

Dear Michael: Great news. Something I should point out to some members of this thread. PERCEPTIONS are key. Doesnt even matter if it works SO LONG AS enemies THINK it works. Well, now we got proof it will work and this is just the initial phases. Like anything else I am sure its reliability will be improved with time. JDN
