Mani: 1. AMD has learned to not putt all its eggs in one basket. If fab 30 runs into issues it will be disaster. You are quite right, of course. That makes perfect sense. So much so that I'm amazed AMD is doing it ;-). (just kidding&#133 I think). 2. AMD testing the water into becoming a fabless company in 3 years?? We'll see&#133 If Paul's prediction regarding Hector Ruiz turns out correct (i.e. he gets dumped and Jerry stays on) - which I doubt, btw - that's certainly not going to happen. Anyone know what Hector's background is? What direction did he try to steer Motorola in? Regardless, I just don't see Advanced Micro "Only Real Men Have Fabs" Devices going fabless anytime soon&#133 (Wouldn't that also be putting all your eggs in one basket?) -fyo
