Dear Karen: The reason Clinton gets blamed is because during his administration he savaged the military and the intelligence forces while concentrating on his SOCIAL agenda. Not only did this have economic effect it had serious morale effect. Clinton forgot the SINGULAR purpose of our FEDERAL government which is to protect the Nation. He was a small time Govenor who thought in small state ways not NATIONALLY. JDN

"but our intelligence is to blame for failing to turn them up. And that's no more Clinton's fault than Bush's"

So you believe that Bush did the same amount of damage to our intelligence agencies in 9 months that Clinton did in 8 years. Interesting.

"Because those agencies - in theory - diligently carry on their duties through wartime and peacetime"

Doesn't help when the chief law upholder does not uphold the law. Bush does, Clinton did not. I am sure that it makes no difference to you, but the examples that Clinton set for our entire country (military, intelligence, our citizens and especially our youth) were appalling and did damage to our country. Anything goes as long as the stock market goes up at 30% per year, right?
