ecom, KDDI to Provide Emergency Notification Service by GPS Cell Phones

December 4, 2001 (TOKYO) -- Secom Co., Ltd. and KDDI Corp. announced they would
start providing a service called COCO-SECOM EZ to enable users to call in emergencies
to Secom's call center using their global positioning system (GPS)-capable "au" cellular
phones.

Because the call center will be able to ascertain where a caller is located, necessary
measures can be implemented immediately. The service began on Dec. 1, charging 3,500
yen for registration and a basic monthly fee of 300 yen. (123.77 yen = US$1)

KDDI began its positioning service called "eznavigation" on Dec. 1 and sales of au
cellular phones with GPS capabilities.

COCO-SECOM EZ is a service under the menu of eznavigation jointly provided by
Secom and KDDI. The position of a caller with an au cellular phone can be spotted with
an error of just five to 10 meters, if the caller is in a place with cellular phone coverage.

Using eznavigation, through COCO-SECOM EZ, Secom can provide various services to
users: a positioning information service, which enables users to confirm their positions
by telephone or e-mail from Secom's Web site, and emergency signal service, which
enables customers to use an au cellular phone to send an emergency signal to the
Secom center when they need help. Secom then will inform a fire department to have
medical professionals dispatched. Another service is the swift service by staff members
dispatched by Secom after receiving an emergency signal.

Secom will charge an additional 300 yen for positioning confirmation by telephone and
100 yen for the same service by the Web site. Also, it will charge 700 yen for an
emergency signal and 10,000 yen for the swift arrival service.

Technicolor Digital Cinema Partners with Warner Bros. Pictures to Digitally Distribute ``Ocean's Eleven''

BURBANK, Calif.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Dec. 4, 2001--

Warner Bros. Pictures' Production to be First Major Motion Picture to Utilize New Digital Delivery Technology and System From Technicolor

Digital Cinema

Technicolor Digital Cinema, a joint venture between Technicolor and QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq:QCOM), has been selected as the digital distribution partner for Warner Bros. Pictures' "Ocean's Eleven," which premieres digitally in selected theatres nationwide on Friday, December 7.

The digital debut of "Ocean's Eleven" is a major milestone for Technicolor Digital Cinema, which earlier this year unveiled plans to deploy its first systems by the end of 2001. "Ocean's Eleven" is the first movie to utilize Technicolor Digital Cinema's new digital delivery system featuring sophisticated QUALCOMM technology.

"This is not only a major accomplishment for Technicolor Digital Cinema, but also an important step forward as Hollywood continues the transition to the digital age of motion pictures," said Dave Elliott, president of Technicolor Digital Cinema. "Digital cinema will be the preferred format of the future. In cooperation with Warner Bros. Pictures, Technicolor Digital Cinema is thrilled to present the first major motion picture using our new digital delivery system, incorporating QUALCOMM technology."

"QUALCOMM designed its ABSolute(TM) image compression technology specifically for cinema-quality presentations," said Kimberly Koro, president of QUALCOMM Digital Media. "The highly efficient nature of ABSolute compression translates into pristine image quality and reduced storage requirements. We are very pleased that Warner Bros. Pictures has chosen for this feature the Technicolor Digital Cinema architecture and, in turn, are delighted to support Warner Bros. in this milestone release."

Technicolor Digital Cinema is expected to digitally distribute "Ocean's Eleven" at more than 19 sites in North America, including existing digital cinema beta sites and other locations. The beta site theatres were initially equipped 12 to 18 months ago to present digital motion pictures as part of Texas Instruments' DLP Cinema(TM) demonstration program, which was funded in part by Technicolor Digital Cinema.

By the end of this year, Technicolor Digital Cinema expects to sign and announce several commercial agreements to provide, install and maintain digital cinema systems in multiple theatre chains across the country.

Digital cinema brings a stable, non-degrading image to the silver screen, assuring audiences will experience pristine picture and sound quality showing after showing. Audiences will have a more enjoyable movie-going experience by seeing the equivalent of a first-time showing every time they visit a theatre. Digital cinema carries with it the promise of industry economic savings, convenience, flexibility, reliability and unprecedented levels of security against theft and piracy.

Technicolor Digital Cinema, LLC is a global leader in the development of complete distribution technology and support services for the delivery of digital cinema to theatres worldwide. A joint venture between Technicolor and QUALCOMM, the company works closely with the motion picture industry as a technology enabler and service provider, all while supporting open standards for the digital delivery of movies and the existing studio-to-theatre model.
