<<The Pac 10 looked bad ONLY because they played each other. >>
Yeah, right! So did every other conference.

<<I don't think any one team looks awesome, but, top to bottom, it is one of the top two. The SEC is the other top conference. Tenn, FLA, Auburn, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Georgia, LSU were all good. At times, Florida looked awesome, but their coaching got in their way. >>

Apologist theory, I guess! -g- SEC has been extremely tough this year - much like Big 10 a couple of seasons ago. In terms of relative strength, Big 12 is a close second to SEC now. It looks to me, Colorado is perhaps the best team in the nation now. Of course, only after Tennessee!! -ggg-

Colorado lost to Fresno early. They seem to excuse early losses by Florida teams every year. Problem is they have 2 defeats. Still think they're probably the best team around right now, but they won't get a chance to show it against Miami.

I think the PAC10 is overrated, but not as much as the Big10. The Big10 didn't fare well in inter-conference games, plus I am amazed that a conference with such outstanding institutions as Michigan and Northwestern has difficulty counting the number of teams in the league<g>.

The SEC is always tough, but I still give the nod to the Big12 this year. If you win a conference that contains Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Kansas State, and Colorado, that is an accomplishment. Of course, Missouri, Kansas, and Iowa State haven't been competitive in ages, but the top of the Big12 is as good as anybody. Then I'd say SEC, PAC10, Big10(??), ACC, and Big East. I don't know much about WAC, MAC or any of those others. Actually, I don't know much about any but the Ivy and Patriot Leagues. In fact, I don't know much about the Patriot League either, since I didn't give Lehigh much of a chance against Hofstra. Come to think, I don't know much of anything, do I?
