All I know is that I own a few stocks which have progressed nicely over the past few months, and even in a sell-off, I probably won't sell, because I think I got a good price that I might not see again. Examples: F, OXY, HMT.

I'll bet the fear of "not seeing such a low price again" will keep many people in the market and holding.

I WOULD NOT, however, dare to hold any of those high-flyer tech stocks. They will get their just reward by going down, and that's what the professional trading folks really do seem to believe over the long term. They are yesterday's winners and tomorrow's losers, according to the opinions I've been hearing.
