absolutely right! It will use it's laser-aided artificial
vision capabilities to acquire impending impact data and
process it with it's intuitive computer software
technology. Upon determination of danger to the skooter,
vertical thrusters will propel the skooter off
the ground and out of arms way. A cluster of tilt sensors
and aviation-grade gyroscopes will ensure stability
during the emergency procedure. In the event there is
insufficient time to perform the vertical avoidance
manoeuvre with the rapidly incoming vehicle, the
skooter will eject itself from under the passenger to
avoid serious damage to it's mechanisms and perform a
rapid sequence of lateral movements, akin to
a primordial dance, leaving the "pilot" as a decoy to take
the full brunt of the impact. For this reason, brakes
were purposely left off the vehicle to impede any attempt
by the pilot to apply unacceptable friction during the
evasive motions. In preliminary testing, no skooter was
lost, but severe mutilating injuries to the only test pilot
that accepted the assignment were reported.
