OT "Linear" is a new Cisco-ism, like "visibility." It means sales during the quarter are evenly distributed rather than being bunched up near the end of the quarter.

GAAP accounting Yeah but no worries mon - next year they'll all be switching to it when the amoritzation for goodwill changes - that should give everybody a good pop. Really fu@k the SEC and FASB and all the frigging so called regulatory bodies. How Enrons do they need before the force everyone to ONE standard methodology and full disclosure.
