Yeah, she has a good voice, but I posted that link a little hastily. She was recommended by a guy who has taste similar to mine, so I kept her in mind. Then I heard her last Sunday on a Prairie Home Companion and she ROCKED. I was sold. The CD I linked to is her latest, its also her first with Alligator Records. She has a bunch of other stuff with some other label. I think Alligator must have encouraged her to appeal to a more mainstream audience. There are some tantalizing hints of blues and boogie and zydeco, but most of it sounds like some 70s rock chick. Might as well listen to Carly Simon! Her earlier stuff is a lot better....
