**OT***Excite@Home*** I just got taped call from AT&T that they would have me hooked into their new broadband service tomorrow, but that it would take a few hours to complete and they'd call me when done. It wasn't clear why they'd specifically differentiate taking those few extra hours (we've already been down since Saturday) and not just say I'd be up tomorrow sometime...the usual "phone company" (where AT&T got it's great reputation for customer service int he first place...NOT) schtick.

Just passin' this along for anyone else affected. Financially, AT&T just nuked the Excite@home creditors.
