Marie, I understand the deep conflict. In my post I wrote and thought again and replaced you with one. This issue is so cutting to the core of what we believe. I present what I believe and why. But all must decide for themselves. I believe any person with a loving and supportive family and friends has the greatest chance to meet any challenge. All tests and pain met with love and courage and self sacrifice makes one a stronger, more loving and giving person. Support and love conquers anguish and pain. But a child dies or a child lives. A mother and father will give their life for their child. My grand child, the flesh of my children is beautiful and innocent and pure and will receive my love unconditionally. If my child cannot survive this test is it because I have failed to give enough love or I cannot provide the love needed now to sustain and comfort my child. Woman and girls have been raped and given birth since time began. A good part of a person's self esteem is what they perceive. Do we take a life on a might. Is there evil in a child because of the way it was conceived. I believe that no one alive today has not in generations past had rape in their lineage. Many may have incest, I don't know. 9 months is the good part of life. But 9 month's is also a small part of life. What guilt might be for a life time. A daughter can be the guiltless victim of rape or incest. What can be said of one who kills the innocent child. What is giving of oneself to give life to another mean. To me the law means nothing in this circumstance. The law only represents what the state judges. The law gives one a choice to defines who one is and what one believes and not fear the state. tom watson tosiwmee
