Anyone got last Tuesday's volume # for the COMPX? Today was 1.885 Billion shares.

Advancing volume was impressive, but short covering is impressive to watch. The new highs was 102 on Yahoo, which is not too impressive for the highest close since July.

Like I said, I feel smart for the next day or so.

Tomorrow we have about a 100-point cushion for the Dow, so that should allow at least a re-trace on the COMPX to 1934, which is a 50% re-trace off the close yesterday.

We may muddy around this range for a few days longer now that we're above the 200-day SMA.
