Without an orderly society, with reasonable laws, one has anarchy and lawlessness, and far worse conditions for everyone. No one and no system is ever, ever, ever going to be totally perfect. But, we must continue to strive for that perfection. << Freedom is a very dull flower, even in the USA. >> I LOVE my freedoms, and my country. I complain now, and have complained many, many times about things that my country does, or did, with which I disagree with. But, the bottom line is, this is the greatest country in the world, ever! << Incidentally, the courts only protect your freedoms if you can afford it. >> Somewhat true. If you have money, you have to pay for your own legal defense. If you don't you have an attorney appointed for you. One of my pet peeves is the supplying of free lawyers to felons over and over again. That really pisses me off! Why should we continually finance legal help for many-times convicted felons!?
