I understand the importance of living up to your agreements. Still, I don't see much of a distinction between dying from breathing poison gas, dying from the concussion of a bomb that turns air into a hammer, or dying in a hail of lead.

Its not a "poor try" at all. The posts you linked do not support your thesis. And I said specficially, if his intent was to advocate the use of poison gas, I thought it was barbaric...
