Well there goes up in flames all the useful information companies were providing to self directed investors for the purpose of fully explaining operations and what exactly happened during a quarter. Companies will now just present a GAAP number that often will obscure the future operating effeciencies/progress and no one but the management spoon fed information analysts can make an informmed forward judgement upon. The SEC struck a blow to the small investor seeking information that many companies were plainly giving.
