The news did not stop a weakening of Dynegy's bonds on Thursday. The 6.875 percent notes maturing in April 2011 of the company's Dynegy Holdings Inc. unit fell about five to six cents on the dollar to 82 cents on the dollar. The bonds are being quoted by price, like junk bonds, rather than by their yield premium relative to U.S. Treasuries, like investment-grade bonds, which Dynegy's bonds are.
