Yes,but one should be happy that regular segregation and civil rights took a turn for the
better, finally after the defeat of regular ubermench ideas so common earlier.

Luckily South Africa followed with some delay.

All within the context on how many missiles can be used in the local slum, after that Clinton 200 thing.

And it's especially pertinent when one considers that tactical and strategic blunders by the American command
structure led to the VietNam war lasting into 1969,

Yep... Absolutely...

And listen.. This is NOT about claiming the US military is infallable.

And the way Vietnam was fought was a political decision, and not one derived from the military leadership making incorrect decisions towards the clear cut mission objectives provide to them.

There weren't really any objectives in Vietnam, except to kill more of them than they kill of us, while protecting the integrity of S. Vietnam's borders.

Btw, anyone who knows the history of the Dieppe Raid, know exactly how much the Canadians suffered from the sheer stupidity and arrogance of the overall British General staff, and in particular, Moutbatten.

And the scary thing is the Montgomery probably represented the best they had.

Now compare that to units like the 1st Special Service Force, which was half Canadian and half US, and the tremendous feats they accomplished, one would have to suggest that the Canadians would have been better off wearing US uniforms and serving under US commanders.

And there's no doubt that Canadians were highly respected soldiers, and still are. Very competent according to those I've known who have worked with them.
