Not as fervently as they demanded Intel's last stroke of genius, Rambus memory, but they want it.

The fact that a number of organizations have failed to return the free samples Intel sent them proves it!

wbmw, nobody wants Itanium or Hammer or whatever. The chip/software companies HAVE to ram these things down our throat for them to make money. Imagine the money they stand to make everytime people have to upgrade their hardware/software because they deem their previous generation obsolete. We had to go to Oracle 8i ( we didn't want to, we were fine with 7.1 ) because Oracle said they would not support 7.1 after next year.
